"When Luck Runs Out," is a personal project that was inspired by Greek myths such as "Jason and the Argonauts" and "The Odyssey," as well as the Golden Age of Piracy. The story follows Percival, a teenager who has been a bit down on his luck in recent years, and his older step-sister Felicity, who through a series of unfortunate events has dragged him into her own problems. Now after stowing away on a ship, and forced to work as part of the crew, the two have now found themselves wrapped up in a plot that is destined to end in tragedy.
